What this site is

US Paycheck Math publishes estimates of take-home pay and paycheck withholding calculated from published tax tables. It is an information service, not a tax, payroll, legal or accounting firm.

Estimates, not advice

Every figure assumes W-2 wages, the standard deduction and the other assumptions stated on the page. Your own withholding depends on your Form W-4 and your employer's payroll system, and your tax bill on your actual return. Do not rely on a figure here for a filing, a payroll run or a financial decision without checking it against the official source linked on the page.

Accuracy

We check rates against the official publications named on each page and show the date they were checked. Tax law changes during the year; if a number differs from an official source, the official source governs. Please tell us and we will check it.

Links and products

Some pages link to spreadsheets sold by a separate shop. Those links are marked as sponsored; buying is optional and the calculators on this site stay free.

Use of the content

You may quote a figure with a link back to the page it came from. Copying whole pages is not allowed.
