Ohio Payroll Calculator 2026
Ohio cut its withholding rates for paychecks from August 1, 2026: the optional computer formula now runs 1.6% up to $26,050 of annualized taxable wages, 2.99% to $100,000 and 3.4% above, after $650 for each IT 4 exemption. Paychecks before that date used the October 1, 2025 formula (1.775% / 2.99% / 3.64%).

What to watch in Ohio
- Ohio municipal income tax and school district income tax are withheld separately and are not included — they apply in most Ohio cities.
- The calculator uses today's date to pick the formula; paychecks dated before August 1, 2026 used the older rates.
